They Shoot Pictures, Don't They?

They Shoot Pictures, Don't They? is a listing of the '1000 Greatest Films' ever made, based on over 2000 seperate 'Best of' lists compiled by critics and filmmakers. At the moment it apparently stands as roughly 90% American and European films, and 10% from other parts of the world. The creators of this site are always working on refining the list based on the new 'Best of' lists and the like, and hope to make it more reflective of the international film community so that European and American films only make up 75% of the list. I think that's kind of cool, but I also have a big journey ahead of me to try and see all these films, so here's the 2011 list below (counting down from 1000 to 1) with links to any films I've reviewed...

(Before we move onto that, I'll mention that there's a larger list on the site that takes into account the complete lists of all these critics and filmmakers... it's made up of about 9600 films though, which I seriously doubt I would ever be able to get through, so I'm sticking to the 1000 film list for the moment)
